Recent Presentations: A Busy Autumn for NYP Physiotherapy
This autumn has been an exciting and productive season for the NYP team as we’ve been out in the community and across the UK sharing knowledge with students, fellow professionals, and the general public. From hands-on training courses to national conferences, here’s a look at what we’ve been up to.
Manual Therapy Training for Emerging Physiotherapists
In October, Dallas, Alan, and Kate hosted a specialist manual therapy training course designed for final-year physiotherapy students, new graduates, and early-career clinicians.
Throughout the day, delegates worked through real-world case studies to strengthen clinical reasoning skills and took part in demonstrations before practising manual therapy techniques across a variety of joints.
The feedback from attendees was extremely positive, and we’re delighted to say that the course will return in the spring. We also hope to expand this into a broader series of practical, skills-based workshops.

Supporting Women’s Health at Local Golf Clubs
Kate was invited to speak to the ladies of Thirsk and Northallerton Golf Club, delivering an informative and engaging session on:
- The impact of menopause on musculoskeletal health
- Optimal breast weight management
- The surprising statistic that over 40% of female golfers don’t wear a sports bra while playing
- The importance of warm-up exercises to enhance performance and reduce injury risk
During her talk, Kate also introduced our new Posture Fitting service, launching in the New Year, which focuses on postural re-education and accurate bra-size measurement.
Following the success of this session, we’ve already received an enquiry from another golf club keen to offer the same presentation to their members.

Presenting at the CSP Annual Conference 2025
To round off the season, Kate travelled to Newport to present at the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Annual Conference 2025. She delivered a paper she co-authored to a room filled with engaged and inquisitive physiotherapists from across the UK.
Her session sparked lively discussion both in person and online, and we are incredibly proud to see NYP represented at such a prestigious national event.
