Meet The Team

North Yorkshire Physiotherapy is a team of eight physiotherapists: Dallas, Kate, Alan, Stuart, Jess W, Jess D, Niamh (Musculoskeletal), and Charlotte (Neurological). Their team also consists of two Sports Massage therapists, Jess W and Laura, Practice Manager, Clare and receptionists, Susanne, Mandy, Angela and Romy.

About Me

I studied a BSc in Psychology and Human Physiology before doing BSc Hons in Physiotherapy in Bloemfontein South Africa. I am a lecturer on the BSc Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation degree course at Middlesbrough College.

Originally I came to the U.K. on a cricket scholarship.

I’m married to Charlotte with 2 children Scott and Maya.

I’ve worked in sports for various teams  including athletics, rugby and ballet.

About Me

I qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of Manchester in 1999, specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in 2003. Since then, I’ve worked in private clinics, NHS hospitals and for England Netball’s Talent Programme. I have completed a variety of postgraduate courses and qualifications and have recently started studying on a part-time Masters programme. I am an associate lecturer on the Physiotherapy degree courses at Teesside University, predominately teaching on the Anatomy and Functional Movement module.

My passions

I’m a keen netball player, playing in the Cleveland Netball League for Coatham Netball Club A Team and I helped to establish Stokesley Netball Club, bringing women back to the sport. I also set up and coach at Stokesley Junior Netball Club. I am a keen walker, an occasional runner and I enjoy family life with my daughter, Evelyn.

About Me

I studied for 2 years in the Institute of Technology, Carlow and received a Higher National Certificate in Applied Physiology and Health. I then progressed to study BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy at University of Teesside. Since qualifying, work has mainly been in the private sector working closely with Orthopaedic Consultants, both in the MSK environment and in the postoperative rehabilitation setting. Alongside hospital work, the opportunity arose to work in the Middlesbrough FC Academy for 3 years.

Having spent 3 years working as a physiotherapist in New Zealand and Australia, I returned to the North East of England. In both the Southern and Northern Hemisphere I attended a wide variety of courses and obtained qualifications in topics such as Dementia Management, Acupuncture, Mulligan Technique, Paediatric Physiotherapy and Persistent Pain management.

My passions

I used to be heavily involved in rugby but retired early due to work demands and injury. I still love to watch both live and on the TV and still believe that some day I will don my boots again. Most of my spare time at the moment is spent either going to weddings or furniture shopping.

About Me

I graduated with a BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy from Leeds Metropolitan University in 1999. I specialise in neurological conditions and have worked in a variety of NHS trusts in Yorkshire and London. I’ve worked in the private sector since 2006.

In 2010 I moved back to North Yorkshire, continuing to work in the  private community.

About Me
I recently qualified with a first-class BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy gained from Teesside University and have a BSc (Hons) degree in Sport and Exercise Science from Leeds Metropolitan University.
I am a L3 qualified personal trainer and spent many years working as a senior manager within the health and fitness industry.

My passions

I have played cricket for many years and still enjoy playing at local club level and watching all forms of cricket and almost any sport! I love the outdoors with snowboarding, mountain biking and family walks with the dog regular pastimes. With 2 young children, most of my remaining time is spent on dad taxi duties!

My availability

Mondays in Northallerton, Tuesdays through to Fridays in Stokesley.

About Me

Niamh graduated from Teesside University with first class honours in BSc Physiotherapy. Currently studying MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy at Hartpury University on a part time basis alongside working at NYP.

I enjoy running, hiking, playing tennis and horse riding.

About Me
I undertook my professional education in Manchester and gained degrees in Business and Leisure, and Sports Injury Therapy with Rehabilitation. I also have qualifications in Personal Training and Sports Massage. I am also a fully qualified Pilates instructor.
I have been a sports injury therapist at Redcar Town FC for over 10 years which I find both challenging and incredibly rewarding.
My passions
I have a passion for injury rehabilitation and have a desire to learn and train at a much deeper level.
I have 2 active, sporty children.
I enjoy swimming, CrossFit, and Pilates when the hectic nature of my life allows.
