It’s not a joyful thought but as we get older our bodies change. The external changes are obvious but the internal ones can’t be seen. Between the ages of 50 and 70 we lose 30% of our muscle strength and one in three people over the age of 65 have a fall annually.
So isn’t falls and aches and pains inevitable and should be accepted? NO! The vast majority of falls and pains can be reduced with muscles strengthening exercises, improving flexibility, co-ordination and balance. This can optimise your independence, improve your sleep and reduce your pain.
Physiotherapy can help following a fall, illness or surgery. We can assist with conditions such as osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.
Our clinic is easily accessible on the ground floor with parking right outside the door and we are also available for home visits if you are unable to travel to us. We also offer group presentations entitled “Live Long, Live Well” and our Older Person’s Exercise Classes on Thursday mornings are very popular.
