Training / qualifications
Training: Studied for 2 year in the Institute of Technology Carlow and received a Higher National Cert in Applied Physiology and Health. Then progressed to study BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy at University of Teesside. Since qualifying, work has mainly been in the private sector working closely with Orthopaedic Consultants, both in the MSK environment and in the postoperative rehabilitation setting. Alongside hospital work, the opportunity arose to work in the Middlesbrough FC Academy for 3 years.
He returned to the North East of England having spent 3 years working as a physiotherapist in New Zealand and Australia. Both in the Southern Hemisphere and Northern Hemisphere he attended a wide variety of courses and obtained qualifications in topics such as Dementia management, Acupuncture, Mulligan technique, Paediatric Physiotherapy, Persistent Pain management.

I used to be heavily involved in rugby but retired early due to work demands and injury. I still love to watch both live and on the TV and still believe that some day I will don my boots again. Most of my spare time at the moment is spent either going to weddings or furniture shopping.
Tuesday mornings, Thursday evening and Saturday till midday
Fun fact about me is…
My home town of Portumna in Galway, population of 1200, has won the All-Ireland hurling championships 4 times in the past 10 years, beating every other team in Ireland.
